PARENTS SHAKEN BY PORN CHARGES AGAINST WYNNE’S FORMER DEPUTY EDUCATION MINISTER

Benjamin Levin, 61, who served as deputy education minister under Education Minister Kathleen Wynne, was charged Monday with multiple charges of child pornography. Parent advocacy group Parents As First Educators President Teresa Pierre said, “It should be a surprise that any deputy minister of education could be charged with the criminal exploitation of children. But we’re not completely surprised since Wynne’s education ministry hasn’t shown the best judgment about children and education.”

Levin was deputy minister of education from 2004 to June, 2009 and an advisor on Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne's recent transition team.  (more...)
