Georgetown Canon Law Petitioners Seek Intercession of Blessed Pope John Paul II

Exorcist author William Peter Blatty, who last month filed a canon law petition with more than 1,200 alumni, students, parents and faculty seeking remedies to strengthen Georgetown University's Catholic identity, today revealed that the petition was "submitted in prayer to the powerful intercessions of St. Jude Thaddeus and the miraculous intercession of Blessed John Paul II."

Blatty also reveals that the petition invoked "the spiritual protection of the North American Martyrs," once considered to be Georgetown’s patron saints.  (more...)
